Issue with Information Design Tool (Universer designer) of BO 4.0

Hi Experts,

I need your help on the below issue.

I am using "Information design tool" in BO 4.0 version, I have created the project and under that I have created OLAP connection and the Business layer.

When I expand the Project I don't see OLAP connection and the Business layer.

Any response on this is appreciated !!

I am not able to create a Universe on top of a OLAP connection which I have created to a SAP BEx Query.

Steps I followed:

1. I created a local project in the Information design Tool

2. I created a OLAP connection to a BEx query via the BICS connection

3. connection test works fine

4. I replicated the connection to the BOE

5. If I select create new Business View / Universe an select the OLAP connection I get the error message "this connection" is not supported".

Did you come across this issue?

Please post a new question. If you don't have the SAP Integration Kit installed then post to that forum.

If you have issues with OLAP then post to that forum.

How come the SAP integration kit is the answer? I thought version 4.0 does not need any integration kit anymore?

Hi Iris,

Look in the Integration Kit Forum

The SAP DB drivers are shipped with CR 2011 and BOE 4.0 so there is no manual download and install to make them work in CR. You still need to install the connectors on the SAP Server to be able to use them though, this won't change.

Because BO 4.0 is in Ramp Up mode I suggest you create a case in SMP and work with a rep to debug the issue.
