can a user be my sap business suit ess on the Contractual User Type ID if he only updates Z tables .

Hello,

Since he is updating the tables, i.e. making changes in your systems then he needs to be a Professional Users.

A Ltd. Professional can only have display authorization in the system. This information is as per the contract that customers sign with SAP.

How is he updating Z tables ? If he is working on R/3 system then it can't be an ess contractual user.

I did not understand properly, but what i have seen that if you are working on R/3 system directly then it should be either limited professional/application professional user. I don't know about your contract.
