Unique SOS not assiged to some shopping cart items

We are using SRM7 classic scenario for a year, OA is maintaining at ECC backend. The problem is when user selected 20 items from vendor e-catalog (using OCI-HTML), 9 items are not assigned with SOS.

The unique SOS only listed in the tag and need to assign it manually. (user did not remove assigned supplier because the button was hidden). We cannot replicate the same problem and thus unable to identify what is wrong. Anyone has similar experience and can share with us?

I had read SRM KBA "1505034 Unique SOS is not assiged to the Shopping Cart". The current OCI-HTML we are using is not include vendor BP, OA number and item. It is depends on material group to assign SOS (since we are using SRM from 2002). If our vendors include vendor BP, OA no & item in OCI-HTML, will it prevent the same problem?

SAP note 1401401 was applied to switch off the asynchronous call.  The result in our testing SRM7 seem to be positive.  If any one have apply same note to resolve no SOS problem, please share your experience, e.g. will there be any performance issue?.  Thanks.

Only issue that I have seen in SRM 7.0 related to unique SOS assignment has been solved with note that you mentioned.

Perhaps you can implement it and observe how your system will behave.

I noticed that the KRA in Wiki-SRM was changed to follow:

"Solution: This is solved with note 1516847- Unique source of supply not automatically assigned."

We will apply this note to check whether it can solve our problem.

After communicated with SAP thru OSS message, another note was applied:

OSS 1401401:SRM-EBP-SHP:Source of supply empty if R/3 has large..

Actually this notes was released in 2009 but it does not included in any SP of SRM 7.00 or 7.01.
