CATS end user (ESS) role

Hi Guys,

we are planning to implement CATS on our exisiting HR system. In order to finalise the Security on CATS application for Employees and Managers, I would like to have sample Standard role for :

CATS-Employee

CATS-Managaer/Approver.

I cannot find any standard role to this effect. IF you know any role please let me know.

Hi Soumya,

You can have a look at these roles:

· SAP_HR_PT_TIME-ADMINISTRATOR (Time Administrator)

· SAP_HR_PT_TIME-SUPERVISOR (Time Supervisor)

· SAP_EMPLOYEE (Employee Self-Service)

Thanks a lot for the reply...

I am actually quite curious to know about the singlie role inside SAP_EMPLOYEE which holds the CATS transactions.The only singe role with CATS tcodes is :

SAP_LO_EMPLOYEE Employee Self-Service (LO)

and it seems to have only CATW in role menu(from the CATS transactions). So my problem is I dont see a CATS ESS role which can be effectively customized for our use.

Transaction codes are not the only entry ponits to the system.

Other application layer entry ponits are objects:

--> S_RFC

--> S_SERVICE

--> S_START
