Default a few fields while creating RPM Item

Hi All,

I need to default certain fields while creating a RPM Item. Could you pls. let me know if there is any BADI to achieve that?

Hello Niranchan!

I know 3 ways to do it:

1) A standard and easy solution is to use Item Templates.

2) You can access the item in Administration Mode and configure the fields you need. The problem in this case is that not all fields have the option to define the "suggested value". This solution is standard too, although you have to access SE80 to do it.

3) If none of the above is ok for what you need, you can use BAdI RPM_PROJ_CUST_FIELDS, method CREATE_OBJECT.

Just an observation: the BAdI I have informed is used for custom fields.
