my ides 4.6c is very slow

Hi All,

My IDES 4.6c is running on WIN XP home platform.

I have updated the database staticstics still its slow.

Each time it is compiling the transaction I ran.

Hi Mithun,

Increase the RAM and since you are using IDES in WIN XP, Clear all the Logs(Security, APplication..) in the OS and also clear the DB Logs and finally check any background jobs running (SM36/SM37), if found any old jobs delete them, also check SM04 if there are multiple users connected and check(Monitor) the time stamp of individual users.

Hi Mithun,

I think you have not run the SGEN after installation.

Please do as follows.

1.Go to t-code SGEN

2.select generate all objects for selected componenets-->continue

3.click on select all-->continue

4.continue

5.click on 'start job directly' or you can schedule the time.

It will take few hours to complete, so do this in the night.

Thanks for responding ,SGEN occupies lot of space is there any other alternative.
