Hi,
We are pllaning to implement CTS+ in our landscape.Currently we are transporting portal content through export/import.In future all the Enterprise portal transports will be done from Solution Manager ABAP Stack(STMS).I have a doubt that after implementing CTS+ can we still perform the portal transports through export/import mechanism??One more thing is that can BI Java be used as CTS+ like Enterprsie Portal.
Hi,
Yes, you can still using the export/import method. You'll just have to select the proper Transport Method: File System (export/import) or CTS. Yes, again, for BI; you can use CTS+ to transport your BI Java objects just like portal transports or you can export your BI Java objects using the File System method, download the files (*.epa) and use STMS to attach the files to an existing transport request. When CTS+ is configured properly, you'll be able to transport both Java & ABAP objects at the same time using STMS and they'll be deployed into their corresponding target environments.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
In portal, after you created your transport package, add objects to the package and click on the 'Export' button to prepare the objects, you will find a dropdown box for 'Transport Method' and you should have CTS, File System in the dropdown list (given that you setup CTS properly).
With a little search, you'll find plenty of info about CTS+
Since you'll have the choice for transport method, you can select File System for your transports all the times and never use CTS even without having to remove the connection.
Hope it helps.

Hello,
Same as regular CTS, if needed you can remove CTS+ and just follow the export/import method.
But its better to use the CTS+, as during refresh and all it will be easier for you to trace the changes gone into system and replicate them if needed.
there are many online doc available for the configuration:
You can check this one as well.
Hope this helps.
