Hi experts,
We have a requirement as under:
A plant contains certain stocks of a product. Part of this stock is kept in a separate storage location. This stock is reserved for local "over the counter" sale at the plant gate. So this stock should not be considered as available in planning as well as in deployment.
Can we exclude this stock at particular storage location during transfer to APO?
Thanks in advance.
Nitin
Hi ,
Can you check whetehr sloc MRP area concept suffices your reqmt.
Loc type can be identified as 1007
Create a sloc MRP area in R3 and CIF it to APO. Then you can exclude this MRP area from your regular run.
Thanks,
nandha

Hello,
I think MRP area functionality may meet your requirement.
Set the slorage location as a MRP area in ECC, so that it could be planned separatedly from the plant.

Hi Nitin,
I don't think we can exclude any stock at particular storage location during transfer to APO.
In APO, we always have stock at plant level which is the lowest possible level.
And even logically thinking it should not be possible. Least I can say is, this is not the standard APO functionality.
But, we can always explore customer exist.
Instead of doing that, what I would suggest is to make this stock a "Special stock" in ECC.
So, it will not be used for the purpose for which it is not meant for.
Hope this helps. Let us know if it refrain you from making it as a special stock.

Nitin,
Change the stock to blocked stock in ERP. This will require an additional transaction, the simple act of moving material into your special storage location will not make this happen in standard ERP. Blocked stock will be CIF'd to SCM as "CI" stock, which in standard SCM heuristics is not relevant for planning.
You may have to alter the method of availability checking to make this stock available for sales order confirmations.
