MAXDB backup fails with Error code 3700 "hostfile_error"

Hello,

the backup of our SAP System gives an error Error code 3700 "hostfile_error"

Running with MAXDB 7.7 on W2K3 and EHP4 ERP6.0/NW701

In runce once with the initial backup on disk but the next time it fails with the mentioned error.

The Backup template parameter CAN BE OVERWRITTEN is set to yes If we rename the initial Backup the backup runs normaly, the acces rights on OS level seems to be ok.

Any suggestions?

The user, under which the database is running (the service), does that user have the permission to access that share?
