Number Range Supersession Chain

Hi,

We are trying to configure supersession chains. We get the below error -

"Internal and External number ranges not defined for group type Supersession Chain" -

Number range intervals have not been maintained for this group type.

The system suggests the following steps -

You have to maintain number range intervals for this group type.

1. Go to transaction SNUM/SNRO

2. Enter /incmd/grp in the Object field and click on Number ranges.

3. On the next screen click on Change Groups.

4. You can maintain the intervals here.

We maintain all the suggested steps, but the error is persisting.

Could anyone help?

Hi,

You supposed to create number intervals also and assign that to the newly created group.

Follow the same steps,

1. Go to transaction SNUM/SNRO

2. Enter /incmd/grp in the Object field and click on Number ranges.

3. On the next screen click on Change Number Intervals

4. You check that you could see the number intervals here. If not, please create the interval and assign it to the group.

Please include internal and external number ranges based on your requirement.

i have problem in creating supersession chain.Here system has to generate the internal supersession chain number .with number range 10001 to 99999. how to make the system to generate internal supersession number within the specified range pls help me
