Choice of supplier in SAP Retail

Dear Retail experts,

I am new to SAP Retail, but I am sure someone out there has a quick answer to the following question.

A store has a need of an article. If there is stock in the DC it should be supplied from there; otherwise, the store shall order from the vendor. Such process doesnu2019t exist in standard SAP (probably in SAP APO), but maybe thereu2019s such process in SAP Retail?

TIA

Raf

On the Article Master Logistics Store view, maintain the setting for Supply Source. 4 = Stock Transfer Before Standard.

This works in conjunction with ATP checking.

Store Order: Document Categories with Sourcing Check

The document category controls the conversion of store order IDocs into follow-on documents. If a sourcing check is to be carried out for the document category, the system determines a source of supply, and if it finds an internal source of supply, it also performs further checks on the goods, to ensure that they are available, for example.

The following are examples of document categories without a sourcing check:

Warehouse order with single availability check

The system checks availability for an internal source of supply according to ATP logic. If the available quantity is insufficient, the system searches for an external source of supply (the availability check cannot be carried out for an external source). The availability check is only carried out for a single internal source of supply.
