Hi,
Can anyone please let me know what is the difference between enterprise extension and enterprise add-on.
If possible do also let me know whether SAP IS Auto and SAP IS- Utilities are enterprise extension or enterprise add-on.
With thanks & regards,
Vinodh
Hello Vinodh,
Enterprise Extensions are bundled, and thus delivered together, in each Enterprise Add-On. None of the individual Extensions show any dependencies with the others. Thus, they represent decoupled software units; each Extension is then implemented using a structure package.
Thus, SAP IS Auto and SAP IS- Utilities are Enterprise Add-Ons.

Hello Vinodh,
SAP IS-U and SAP IS-Auto are Enterprise Add ons.
You can get further information about them in http://help.sap.com/ -> SAp Best Practices -> Industry Packages
Hello Vinodh,
Missed stating that Initially IS-U was an Add-on industry solution (last version 4.72), now it has been included in ECC 6.0 as an Industry Extension activated via SAP Switch Framework.
IS-AUTO is an add-on based on ECC 6.0 + ECC DIMP:
Warm Regards
