Industry Specific Ruleset

Hello Expert ,

Is it possible to have iIndustry Specific Ruleset like for :

1. Retail

2. Oil and Gas

3. Mining .

As per my understanding ,ruleset are always Business process or SAP module oriented .

Kindly share your experience .

Hi Ashish ,

As per my experience with the Rule set i don't think we have something which is specific to certain industry. Rule set creation process always engages Business process owners, technical teams and auditors to ensure compliance as well as business requirements are met within the custom rule set.

If you still want to build a custom rule set which is specific to a industry , what i would suggest is to have a look at different custom rule sets across an industry and try to integrate all best practices in your rule set which are also relevant to your business processes.

Hi,

I'm aware SAP consulting has built some rule sets for the following industries:

Insurance: FS-CD, FS-RI, FAM

Banking: Bank Analyzer, CML

Public: PSM

Healthcare: ISH

I haven't personally used any of those.
