SCM 7.0 IDES Connection issues

Hi,

I'm having issues in connecting to SCM IDES 7.0,

Below are properties of my connection:

App Server: My IP Address

Instance Number: 01 [What does It mean?]

SID: PAV[Which I provided during my installation]

When I try to login, it defaults to client 001, when I try to login with the below user name it says username /password incorect

SAP*

PASS

When I try to change the cleint to 800, it says client 800 not available.

Can someone help me out here?

System number you have given during installation

This means Client 800 is not available. What help you are looking for? How to create a client ?

This is easily searchable on google or SDN. Search with yourself and you will get step by step process. That is the best way. If you dont get it properly then you can ask the specific question here.

Hi,

Inorder for me to install cleint 800, first I need to login into the SCM IDES system.

I tried DDIC as well, it is not working. Can someone help?

I was able to login into 001 client using SAP*. In SCC4, iI see only 3 clients [000,001,066], 8XX series is missing..

Did I missed anything during my installation that caused 8XX cleints missing?

Please let me know

This is not a IDES System, if you donot have 8xx clint. What media you used during nstall ?

Hi,

In SCM is a Standard client is there . You should be create a new Client from SCM Server.

In ECC IDES is 800 series client.

If any further doubts please Let me know
