Hello,
In SAP licensing process, will it count service users and system users for the license.
(or licensing occurs only to the dialog users)
In the license agreement , it is not mentioned.
(Mentioned as 500 user license only)
regards,
zerandib.

Hi,
Before running USMM, it is recommanded to set all the userids (except SAP* and system generated communication users like TMSADM etc) to dialog. Service user can be used for the purpose of multiple logins without prompt that this user id is being used by other user also. This is agains the contract. That's why it is always recommanded to first change the type to dialog orelse on demand, explain the specific purpose to change the use type to other than dialog.
Rgds,
Gaurav

Hi,
It depends of your specific contract with SAP.
In the past with our pre Netweaver contract we were able legally to use a single system user (and to pay one license) for the 1500 users of a web application.
Nowadays, we have to pay 1500 licenses for the same application....

Olivier
