Mass Delete Function for ArchiveLink Documents

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a standard SAP program whereby mass deletion of ArchiveLink documents can be done. There was a program 'OADELMET" on 4.6 but it seems to have been removed in ECC6.

Something similar to DMS's mcdokdel would be great.

Dear Neil,

unfortunately there is no mass delete program as many customers felt that this was a 'dangerous' functionality which could result in all documents being deleted by accident.

Maybe the function modules ARCH0817_DELETE_RECORDS or ARCHIVFILE_TY_DELETE could help here to create an individual report for this behavior.

Thanks for the reply. What I'm battling to understand is if the reason the 'oadelmet' program was taken away is because documents can be deleted by accident, then surely the same can be said for the mass delete in DMS 'mcdokdel'.

SAP is providing us standard functionality to mass upload ArchiveLink documents to objects however, if some goes wrong during the upload we need a custom zprogram to be written to remove the entries?

If I log an OSS would I get the same response?
