agent administration from tcode solman_workcenter is end with error

Dear All,

We have install solution manager7 ehp1 SP23 in our landscape.

But when i try to open agent administration from tcode solman_workcenter it is opening an browser with address

http://hostname:8000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdnavigation/StandaloneApp?APP_ID=ADMIN_AGENT and end with below error.

call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

when i try to open the above service by replacing 8000 with 50000 it works.

Please let me do i miss any setting from solution manager end.

Hi,

Before run the URL please check your SAP services are activated or not in SICF.

Also please activate the services : -

sap/bc/webdynpro/ <all>

sap/bc/solman/<all>

You need to activate some services in SICF for SOLMAN_WORKCENTER.

They are as follows:

There is one work center role per work center, and the user needs the role SAP_SMWORK_BASIC, which contains the authorization objects required for the work center

SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE

SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN

SAP_SMWORK_BASIC

The services are activiated already alos the roles are assign to user

but still i am getting the same error.

Hi Paresh,

You can try re-activating the services along with the corresponding roles.

Please let me know if there are any ABAP dumps in ST22 in this regard.

Hi Paresh,

Please check the services in Visual admin tcsmdnavigation as well as tc~smd if those are not running make sure those are running and check.

hello Sreekaitha,

in visual admin i can find tcsmdserver~service service and it is active.

I can't find the service which you have mention

Hi Paresh,

Please restart the java stack from smicm or from JSMON it will help you to resolve it is the problem with the services availble at java stack side

Hello Paresh,

Please check the SAPNote 1353387 - Solution manager: navigation doesnot work.

In this, it has been mentioned that for releases older than ST400SP18, please call CSA from Work Center Transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER as a workaround.

Hope this is relevant to your issue.

Hello Riki,

What CSA mean is it transaction(then it is not exist in SM) or any link

please clarify

Also while calling service from sm it is hetting the below service

http://hostname:8000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdnavigation/StandaloneApp?APP_ID=ADMIN_AGENT and end with error call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

but wen i call service manually by changing port number it work fine as below service

http://hostname:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdnavigation/StandaloneApp?APP_ID=ADMIN_AGENT

Hello Paresh,

There is a problem with the port 8000 in your environment.

The following link mentions some trubleshooting tips with this particular port:

As mentioned above in one of the replies, you can start with the restart of ICM.

Let us know if this works.

hello Riki,

i can able to start J2ee engine from SMICM of solman

Also in service http is pointing to 8000 port.

does i need to change the port?
