Authorization in DP

Hi APO Guru's

We plan to give our customers to access the Planning Books to input the customer demand.We have nearly 80 Customers.We want give authorization to customer to create the selection ID.

While creating the selection ID, he should be able to create selection pertaining to his(Customer ID) and Product combinations.

Example:

Customer 1 is responsible to forecast following products P1, P2 and P3 .

Customer 2 is reponsible for p1, p2 qnd p4

customer 3 is responsible for P1, P2, P3 , P4 and P5

Based on the above example:

Customer 1 should only able to create selection for the P1, P2, P3 with Customer1.

Customer 2 should be able to create selection for only products P1, p2 ,P4 with Customer 2.

Customer 3 should be able to create selection for only products p1, p2 ,p3, p4 ,p5 with Customer 3.

Please throw some light on the above requirment.

Hello,

to restrict access to planning data by any characteristic, in your case customer, you can use BI authorization concept in DP. Hi,

Regarding the BI authorisations concept, is it possible to use this for navigational attributes or is it purely for characteristics in the MPOS?

Hi Shirish,

You could assign each customer to a group and store in customized table relations between a group name and limitations on CVCs. At the same time in shuffler ( via user's exit ) you can check it and load only allowed values. Would it help you ?

Will the authoirty object 'C_APO_PROD' meet your requirement?

Thanks for quick response.

The authorization Object 'C_APO_PROD' is for APO Product restriction.In my case we need to restrict at customer level.

When Customer 1 creates the selection ID he should able to select the products pertaining to him.

We have 60 Customers, for which we have to create 60 Authorization roles?

Please guide me .
