Hi,
Scale type is the indicator that controls the validity of the scale value or percentage.Scale type depend on the scenario we are using the condition types.scale types A is used for conditions which are calculated from a certain quantity or value (base scale),B for up to a certain quantity or value (to-scale),C when no scales is used,D for certain intervals.
When the field is blank we can maintain scales in the condition records.

Graduated-to interval Scale means for Ex; in discount condition you selected scale as graduated while maintain scales in the condition record you give like for 10 quantity 1Rs discount, for 20 quantity 2rs and for 30 quantity 3rs discount, now in sale order suppose you place order for 40 in that time system will give discouont for 10 quantity 1rs and 20 - 2rs and 30 onwards 3rs it will give like that.
hope you understand the case
thanks
Vinayak
