Inprocess inspection settings in PP,QM module?

Dear all,

Please tell me the in process inspection settings in PP,QM module, How the inspection plan need to be maintained for this, and is there any link between routing and the in process inspection and how it works

Depending on the client you may also want to use an 04 inspection type in addition tot he 03 inspection type. In validated industries one uses the 04 inspection type. 04 Early release inspection type is used to create the 04 inspection lot on production/process order release. In that case you will use the inspection plan as the MD object . On Goods Receipt of the Production Order the stock gets credited into QI stock. Normal 04 can also be used which will post the stock to QI post goods receipt and create the 04 inspection lot at the same time.

Settings for inProcess inspection

Define 03 Inspecction type in material Master in QM view.

In routing, change the control key, for the QM operation.

In the operation, maintain the MIC ( select the operation, click on Inspection characteristic), provide the sampling procedure, maintain the control Indicators.

In Header, maintain the Inspection Points, Sample drawing procedure ( if time based)
