Post Installation

Hi ,

Please forgive me , if iam in wrong category . I have just installed SAP R3 4.7 Database Oracle 9.2 , on windows 2003 with service Pack 2 . I want to know post installation. If some please tell me post installtion steps .

Hi,

Check the Post installation steps section in the installation guide available at the SMP. There are no other seperate steps.

Hi,

You need to do the below activity for post installation activity-

1. sick t-code need to execute

2. se06 --> Perform Post-Installation Actions

3. RZ10 --> Utilities --> Import profiles --> Of active servers

4. execute sgen T-code --> This will take some time

5. setup STMS

6. create client (If custom required)

7. Take backup of the system

This is the whole post installation activities.

Hi,

Some of the activities are client independent, and others client independent.

Eg:

SE06, STMS should be run from client 000

SLICENSE, SICK, RZ10, SM59 can be run from any client.

Hi,

SGEN can be executed from any client. For the first time, better to select all components for screen generation.

Else you will get delays while screen compilation for the first time.

Thanks . Please forgive me , Iam asking different question . Trying to install ECC 6 SR 2 on Windows 2003 server 32 bits with Oracle Databse 10.2 . Iam getting Error in Import Abap . I have been told that may Export files have corrupt , from where can i download Export files only ..

Hi,

You can download the Export DVDs from http://service.sap.com/swdc -> Installation and Upgrade -> SAP Business Suite Applications -> SAP ERP -> SAP ECC 6.0 -> Select Windows 2003 and Oracle combination.

If you still cannot see, the S-User you use does not have sufficient authorization on the SMP.
