Hi,
We are looking at building an MII application for 'Recording Usage Decision for an Inspection Lot'. Can somebody share their experience on this?
Regards,
V M.
Hello VM,
I would suggest the Batch Manufacturing templates would be one good place to start with, the template has a section called "Quality Control" which involves with Inspection Lot
1) Results Recording
2) Usage Decision
Please refer to this link:
[Batch Manufacturing|https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/rds-mii-bm]
Earlier this template was available on SDN but now it has been moved to service market place.
Hello Srinivas,
If you are looking for MII's internal database then I would suggest you to look into MDO (Manufacturing Data Objects) of MII 12.2,
[MII 12.2 MDO|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mii122/helpdata/en/44/c5e701054c388ce10000000a11466f/frameset.htm]
Hope this helps!!

Adarsh

Hi VM,
you can use BAPI_INSPLOT_SETUSAGEDECISION bapi for making inspection lot usage decision, feed necessary input parameters to the bapi and see to that the auto commit check box is checked or you use commit action block so that the usage decision made will be updated in ECC.
Hope this helps..

Hi VM,
We are also in the same process. I have posted a question to the experts to see whether MII has its own database and can stage the data when SAP is down. I heard it doesnt have its own database and it always depens on the SAP database.
Are you planning to integrate MII with SAP QM IDI? Are you planning to use RFC's or webservices?
Thanks,
Srini
