Hello,
I have created a Z search help for a Z table and using the same in Webdynpro application.
In application, when i click F4 help button for that field, i get the 'General Value list' showing correct values, but the tab for
Personal Value list is deactivated and i cann not add the values from general list to personal list.
I have tried many options such as checking the global settings of F4, entering values in DDSHPVALUE and DDSHPVAL50, etc but nothing works.
Basically this F4 shows hundreds of records in general, but very few of them are user specific. So this is creating lot of problem for users to search the whole list and then select the value.
Regards and thanks in advance,
Preetam

Hi Preetam,
Make sure the size of the data is under 255 - when you activate the search help it will give you a warning that indicates data greater than 255 in size cannot be saved in a personal value list..

Hello,
i have already thought of OVS but can not use, as value selection by users in not fixed. they can select any of the values from general list.

better to use an OVS.
when defining an OVS, you can create your own search/filter fileds.
let the user filters the records as per his criteria.
Find the links in SDN to create an OVS.

To overcome those , wedbynpro provding OVS,object value Selector.
Use OVS, it will be useful to you.
