Hi all..

We have a requirement where we need to write data to OSI PI.

First of all, is this possible and if yes, how can we write the data back to PI datbase?

What conector should we use for it?

Regards,

Ajit

Hi Manoj,

Thanks for replying. I have an idea about integration part.

My question is,can we write data(insert query) to OSI PI from MII Screens.

Do you have any idea?

Hi,

you can try Tag query with current write mode to write data.

hope it helps!!

You should be able to do so using the approach Manoj outlined. Your ID for PI must have write permissions, the data connector in MII must be write enabled and PCo/UDS must also be write enabled. I recommend starting with a Tag Query and try it directly rather than embedding it in a transaction or webpage.

You may also need to get some assistance from OSIsoft if you are trying to write historical values. Generally that is discouraged and I don't know if it is actually allowed to the raw data files by their system rules.
