Need for sapinst upgrade?

Hi gurus

I try to install sap erp 6.0 on mssql with file 51038621_11(which has BS_2005_SR3_SAP_Installation_Master filles)

However installation hangs at 2nd phase(Parameter mode > default settings) where I choose parameter mode typical or custom

above is the last part of the sapinst_dev.log

I solved this problem by downloading new sapinst file(SAPINST7001_4-20002047.SAR) and replacing the file with the original one.

I am curious why this happens. One I've downloaded seems to be the newer one. However the version is same(I've checked this by right click==>version tab on sapinst.exe file). They are all 1.0.0.1

Have I checked the file version wrong?

Is there any note or any document from SAP saying that "YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD NEW SAPINST FILE AND REPLACE WITH THE ORIGINAL ONE WHEN IT HANG"

the note was not exactily what I've looking for.

Anyway, I;ve got reply from SAP saying just use the latest version....: )
