Dear All ,
My Basis team has created new Client for ECC 6.0 and for APO.
1.Transports are done in both clients.
2.Master data is loaded on both clients(Ciffed to APO)
3.Team has also tested both clients by doing transactions i.e, Transactional data is present in ECC and in APO.
Now, Can I remove Master data and transactional data from the client without removing Transports?
Please advise!!!
If yes, then please let me know the steps sequentially (with Transaction codes).
Regards,
Nawal
Hi Nawal,
You may create an 'ERP Package for Client Deletion' for the corresponding target and then do run the package for
'ERP Initial Package for Master Data & Customizing' for transferring the relevant tables to the target system.
Thanks,
Rajesh

HI Nawal,
can you provide me with more information ?
TDTIM, TDSHL ? Transports ? Doesn't seem to me a TDMS issue.

Eddy

Dear Eddy ,
As I understand TDMS is basically an advanced client copy tool. All data is copied from one client to another using RFC with some filters.
TDSHL Contains cross-client data and user-master data, but not the client-dependent data..
TDTIM All client data is copied, including transaction data.
TDMDC u2013 Master Data and Customizing.
Can we remove master data and transaction data ,i.e; TDSHL and TDTIM?keeping TDMDC(customizing /Transports) partially untouched..
Regards,
Nawal
Hi Nawal,
TDMS has several packages :
- TDMS Shell which is an advanced system copy (only copying the client independant so no big dev or qa required)
- TDMS TIM : which is an advanced client copy where you can add a "from-date" which is taken into account to restrict the
amount of data transferred
- TDMS MDC : which is an advanced client copy (master data and custo)
so removing data is one of the steps in the package you choose.
I think you only need to perform a TDMDC.
Just let me know if you require more information.
regards,
Eddy
