Exception Violations exceeds the threshold

All,

Do you know how many violations a CUP request can have before it reaches the threshold?

I am getting the following error message:

Error: Risk analysis failed: Exception Violations exceeds the threshold limit:THRESOLD:1000DETAIL:1554:SUMM:240:MGMT:9

Does this mean the thresold is 1,000 at the detail level?

Hi,

Check SAP note 1490894. You need to change Risk Violations limit in RAR as default value is 1000.

Yes, this is the technical solution.

For business users, this will not really help. Whether you get an error or you see > 1000 violations - there's no way you will be able to handle them (i.e. remediate or mitigate) in a user request.

If this happens a lot that is a sign that you need to re-think your authorizations. If users have > 1000 violations frequently you're not ready for a detailed risk based approach (yet).
