Former Member

Hi All ,

I have to upgrade my kernel according to SAP Support Pack update from SP11 NW 7.0 Enterprise portal to SP21 NW 7.0

From

kernel release 700

kernel make variant 700_REL

compiled on Linux GNU SLES-9 i686 cc3.3.3

patch number 75

SAP Support Pack tool has recommended the

SAPEXE_291-20001365

SAPEXEDB_291-20001369

But I am facing issue saying Wrong Architecture when executing disp+work

I am doing this Kernel patch manually and not by JSPM

Your Help will be highly appreciated

Regards,

Kamal

Linux GNU SLES-9 i686

It seems you are on a 32-bit system, and you downloaded a 64-bit kernel.

Hi Joe,

I have checked it twice. Its a 64 bit OS

I won't argue about your hardware architecture.

But from the i686 above I gather that (for whatever reason) your previous SAP kernel was 32-bit. (Did I correctly understand? That i686 is from the output of your previous kernel?)

If so, it might be a good idea to try with another 32-bit kernel again.

hope this helps.

Thanks Joe ,

When I gave a stress on your comment of i686 . I re-checked the 32 bit kernel

available in the service market place. The Info file of 32 bit kernel is similar to the output

of disp+work of my system. So on monday I will give a try with this one. And I am sure it will

work out.

Kamal
