Can you use assortments to define stock allocations to stores?

Hi,

I am looking at changing the way my company looks at assortments. If I define an assortment for stores A, B, C, but not D and create a PO to supply those stores. Can I tell SAP to use the assortment to define the stores that will be allocated to? Obviously using an allocation table to define how its spread. Or do I need to make a reference group within allocations that mirrors the assortment?

Review: Allocation: Listing Check in Allocation Tables

The listing check enables you to only include sites in an allocation table item if the article in the item is listed in the site.

If you have the system determine the sites in an allocation table item using an allocation rule or a site group, the system only includes sites in the allocation table item in which the article in the item is listed.
