Transfer/Moving stock

Hi,

We are moving to a new storage location. The structure is the following:

Plant: A

Storage location: B --> Warehouse number 200

We have to move the stock to a new storage location/replace the old one (B-200). So we create a new storage location C with a new warehouse number 300.

When we finish the moving stock from B to C we have to close operations of storage location B.From this moment, there will be not operations from this storage location.

Which are the best practices to inactivate the old storage location and warehouse number for future operations? (Obvioulsy we have to maintain the acces to the old information related to the storage location B).

One way is to setting the deletion Flag in MM06 for the Material/Storage Location combination.

This is standard SAP way and there should not be any problem.

Hi,

Try to remove the authorization for that particular storage location to avoid unwanted movements also...
