Hi Experts,
when i try to integrate a custom query into SPM i get an error:
com.sap.ip.bi.bics.exceptions.BicsProgrammErrorException: Invalid program status: RFC call BICS_PROV_CLOSE returned an exception: INVALID_DATA_PROVIDER_HANDLE
The custom query is not based on 0ASA_MP01. When I integrate the queries Infocube in 0ASA_MP01 (all characteristics in 1 additional dimension) and build the same query on it works, but this is not meant to be the permanent solution.
Is this a general limitation? If yes, where can i find this information?
Thanks
Pascal
Hi Pascal,
Yes, you can register BW BEx queries into SPM UI. The only limitations are:
- The query cannot have mandatory input variables
- Cannot have 2 structures
- Need to be a 7.0 query

Hi Pascal,
You can create custom bex queries and import them into the flex UI there are no data provider limitations as far as i am aware.
Have you tested the query in RSRT and/or in bex web?
Kind regards
Neil
