delivery from two different shipping point

Former Member

Dear experts

Consider Only ONE line item in sales order.

and in OVL2 i have maintained 2 shipping points.shipping point determination is perfect.

the scene is-

-Sales order created from head office (they may give quantity in one line item cause they don't know from which shipping point the quantity is moving)

-delivery and billing created from Plant. only Here they can decide which shipping point to give in delivery.(total 2 shipping points)

Can we do like this -

VA01- one line item -quantity=10 shipping point (left blank)

VL01n- partial deliveries 4 with shipping point 1000

deliveries 6 with shipping point 2000

if you find any solution for the above mentioned scene please suggest me

Thanks and regards

-Jay

Dear Mr.Jay.

Maintain your 1st shipping point as a default shipping point in the shipping point configuration.

Maintain your addition shipping point as a manual shipping point.

Now create a sales order with 10 and system will propose your 1st shipping point.

Save the order.

During the time of delivery imagine that , there is a change in the shipping point.

If so, change it in order and save again.

So assume you have to deliver 6 from the 2nd shipping point.

So you made the shipping point in order as your 2nd shipping point and saved.

So when you do a delivery, system will bring 10 qty in the delivery with 2nd shipping point

Change the qty to 6 and pick 6 and do pgi to 6.

Now after this come back to sales order and try to change the shipping point to the 1st shipping point.

If system allows you to change , then your issue is solved.

When you try to deliver the sales order again, system will bring 4 qty remaining from shipping point1.

Check and update.

Hi

Mr. Charles,

thanx for the response, I tryed doing this before as u said this is possible..

Sales order with delivery quantity 10.shipping point 1000 VL01n deliver 4 quantity

then go to VA02 change the shipping point to 2000 VL01n deliver 6 quantity

BUT things are bit different here.

the problem is sales order is created from head office in xyz location..

and delivery and billing is done from plant in abc location..

-hence once the sales order saved from head office ,

-user from plant using VL10 track down the open sales order.then try to deliver it from different shipping points.

one shipping point is near plant. (1000) another shipping point is in different location (2000)

thanks for reply.

Dear Jai,

Then this is a management issue.

Someone responsible authority taking care of delivery should be given the authorisation for either MASS or VA02.

Imagine that there are 50 sales orders for delivery for the day and the 40 sales order need to be split from 2 shipping points.

You can do a MASS change in the shipping point and delivery the required qty from shipping point X.

Then MASS change these 40 order's shipping point to Y and deliver the rest.

For the 10 which doesnt not need to delivered from both shipping points, they can perform the delivery as usual.

Dear Charls

Yes may be the issue with management ,

Mass and VA02 are important , but here use of mass is not required .

the sales order created from head office and its pricing is set from headoffice only..

VL01n and Vf01 done by one user from plant.

User from plant should not involve in sales order as precaution taken for pricing procedure.

any other options?

i think their is no standard settings for creating delivery with an option of multiple shipping point.

if it is enhancement do you know any exits .which will help doing this.

Thanks and regards

Dear Jay,

What i feel is you can use 'USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION' in sales order or

LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC in DELIVERY.

'USEREXITSOURCE_DETERMINATION'_

This is a exit to make changes in PLANT determined in sales order.

However i had used the same exit to bring storage location automatically in sales order level (in standard SAP,storage location will not be identified in sales order)

So feel like you can use the same exit and determine the SHIPPING POINTS assigned to the plant from table TVSTZ

or else you can use 'LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC' and write a logic such that the shipping points (the default and manual) in TVSTZ against the plant can be used for delivery.

Dear Jay,

I am sure this will work out, provided we get an exit to manipulate the value of Shipping point.

Anyways please update the forum when you complete this object.

HI,

You can't do delivery with out shipping point in sale order.so shipping point is mandatory in sales order subsequent to take delivery. While creation of the sale order system automatically deremine (OVL2) the shiping point based on shipping codition+loading group + plant then default shipping point will come in sale order.

hi vinayak

i have already mentioned that shipping point determination has been done...

ok your point taken in sales order i will give shipping point but the results will not be the same.

I need to deliver from 2 different shipping point from same sales order (single line item)

jay

Hello Jay,

That is not possible.

Shipping Point is Determned at Sales order Level & cannot be changed at Delivery creation level.

The option in your case is to create Sales Orer with multiple line items for the same material.

Hope this clarifies,

Thanks,

Dear Jignesh

What I am wondering is that, if we EXCLUDE ''shipping point' in the incompletion log for Sales order, the system will or will not allow outbound delivery?

However,Iam yet to change the 'incompletion log' & test.

Hello Jay,

With single Line Item in Sales Order, you cannot change Shipping Point in Delivery.

As I told you earlier create two line Items with different Shipping Points.

Alternatively, take help of ABAPer & suggest him to do some Developments to achieve this.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Hello Sumanth,

I dont think is would be possible.

If Shipping Point is not determined in Sales Order (by removing from Incompletion log) while creating Delivery, system will give error "Shipping Point is not determined for Item 0010...".

Thanks,
