XI EDI Integration

Hi all,

i want to setup the following XI EDI scenario :

Xi receives from external SAP system invoices that has to be sent out as EDI messages to different Systems.

My questions :

1) is a seeburger adapter necessary ?

2) can i do it whithout and how?

3) has anybody have experience with such a scenario ?

is there an additional license fee required for the conversion agent ?

Hi Gwen,

1) no if you want to write your own adapter. I know there is a supplier (in germany; unfortunately I forgot the name) that support this as a service (outsorcing solution).

--> You send your IDOCs to the service-supplier and he converts and routes them.

no

2) can i do it whithout and how?

you can use itemfield conversion agent

or any other tool that will map INVOIC Idoc

to EDI message (many mapping tools allow that)

you also need to know the protocol (VAN or something else)

or maybe ftp etc.
