hi,
I heard that there's an OSS note that allows
to connect AII 4.0 with XI 3.0
did anyone hear about such a note?
Regards,
michal
Hi Michal,
Officially, we tested AII 4.0 on XI 3.0 SP14 and higher. So you should be able to use it now instead of XI 7.0.

George

hi michal,
i did test this case with basic Scenarios( with XI 3.0 : SP 17 ) , but can't be sure that it will work perfectly for all of them. That's because in the config guide the requirement for AII 4.0 is given as XI 7..
U probably have to test your particular scenario to confirm. i have not heard of any OSS note as u said.

arul .

I don't see any reason why AII 4.0 cannot be connected to XI 3.0. Is there any known issue that it cannot be done?

Michael, I'm surprised as well. But my understanding is that as long as there are compatible plug in on both side, it can be connected. however, not all template may not be available on XI where AII 4.0 provides, so not all functionality can be used. I think this is a possibility.
For incompatible plug in, usually, XI requires higher version. if it is available, I don't see any reason it shouldn't.
For templates, I hope SAP provides those for XI 3.0 to be imported using SDM.
I did search for such note but didn't succeed.
