user field not showing existing users data while logon

hi sap gurus,

we here are facing a problem that is,when a user named Dammy (production user ) at the time of login enters D in the user field his name is not displayed . earlier it happend with him on other system. we have provided him a new system . his request is that why i need to write my username always at the time of login , it should show him his user name as he enters D in his user field. as this happened with him on previous system

Hi

In your new system SAP logon pad

1. Select the Sap system.

2. Change the Item

3. You can find the connection, Network and Code page, under the network tab you can find the network setting in that what selection was there?

Hi,

Can you please try the following...

Login with that user.

Go to : 'Customized Local Layout (Alt+F12)

Go to " Option"

" Local Data" - "History" - Check if the history is on or not.If not then " ON" the history.

Set the parameter " Expiry Time"

"Maximum Permitted Size "

"Maximum Number of Entries"

"Enables History for fields up to "

Check the " Cache " option also..

Hope this solve your problem.

I think you are talking about SAP logon pad history ..

SAP logon pad history generaly works similar to internet explorer memory. please check.

In the new system Just check the Sap logon pad network speed setting may be u201Clow speed connectionu201D Make it u201C High speed lanu201D you will get the privies history

hi ashish ,

the same thing is happening with the commercial boy when he enters data once, he is not able to retrieve it , and this was not the problem earlier. did you got any solution to that .

The GUI History settings are disabled.

SAPGUI -> Options -> Local Data -> History -> ON

That should fix it

Mr juan ,

the thing which you suggested has already been done earlier ,after that also we were not able to do this
