Hi Experts,
As i am new to Pi, I want to get clarified on this
My scenario is (R/3)File---> XI ---> File(Third Party).
How can i know both R/3 and Pi are in same network?
I have the same hostname(suppose: XYZ) for both R/3 and Pi ,
so,can i say that they are in same network?
If they are in the same netwok,
the directories in AL11 for R/3 and pi are they same?
From AL11 directories can i pick the using NFS?
Thanks,
sai
99% client SAP Systems in same network, client uses same network for all systems(not only SAP).
If they are in the same netwok,
the directories in AL11 for R/3 and pi are they same?
From AL11 directories can i pick the using NFS?
Yes, you can, check with Basis team .

Hi Raja,
Thanks for u r reply.
It was a very helpful answer.
Suppose i have a directory like "usr/sap/pi/sys/global" in AL11.
I have to tell the Abapers to place the files in that particular directory?
So, from there i need to pick the files
then i need specifiy in NFS File Adapter as
Soucre Directory : usr/sap/pi/sys/global
File name schema : *.Txt
Thanks
Sai
Hi Sai,
Please ask your Basis person to create some directoring in NFS, so that you can use any folder,so that you can easily manage.
NFS--you no need to eneter any IP adress , just enter your path it will pick up the file.
Soucre Directory : usr/sap/pi/sys/global
File name schema : *.Txt
correct.
Thanks,
Raj
