IDOC Packaging issue

Hi,

We have a requirement to create a single file for all the IDOC process in one day.

We are in PI 7.1 and not having EhP1 so canu2019t create sender IDOC channel for packaging.

We have another approach of using file port as describe by Stefan blog .

/people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/09/18/collecting-idocs-without-using-bpm

but we donu2019t want to use FILE port approach as well.

Can we some other way of IDOC packaging at PI?

Regards,

Navneet

PS: my recommendation is to upgrade to EHP1 and leverage the standard benefits

Hi,

Depending on the target file structure, you can create a file receiver adapter and have the records appended (Append mode).

Have another scenario which will pick up this file once per day and creates a final file .

To summarize.

1) Create two scenarios.

2) IDOC to file (Append mode for file receiver).

3) File to file with sender file scehdule to pick the file once per day.

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for reply.

We already had a discussion on this approach. which required client approval and we are not sure that it will get approved or not.

Thatu2019s why we thought of trying alternative approach if possible.

Any suggestion Guys...

Hi,

Did you looked at the HTTP port option mentioned by michael in the blog pointed out by vijay....

Look at that...that can be another option to implement your scnenario...

instead of two scenarios...
