Characteristic results cannot be recorded for inspection lot 04000000150

Dear Friends.

I have assigned inspection types 03,04 for one material .I have created demand for that material

I ran the MRP for that material.System generate the planned order .i was converted to production order . system generated the lot number with 30000150.

I am using qa32 and select the results and usage decision.

When i do the goods recipt systm generate the lot number is 04000000150.When i am using qa32 system gave the error.

Please find below the error message.

You cannot record any characteristic results for this inspection lot.The material has been set up for existing inspection type in such a waythat results recording is not supported.

please tell me the process.

In QM view inspection type 04 --->check whether you have missed the tick "check char"

if that tick is not exists then such error can occur.

else

check whether status of the inspection lot is CRTD -->then it means that either you have not created the task list with proper usage for inspection type 04 or ( if created ) you have not attached the task list through QA02 .
