When editing an original in DMS, the user field on the DIR will be updated accordingly. For most of my customers, they rather have it stay on the original author unless manually changed. Any ideas of how to achieve this?
as far as I know this 'User change' happens when a status of type 'O' is maintained in the status network. Because in this scenario this status is automatically set when an original file is edited and then also the user gets changed. The user gets changed because when the status of type 'O' is set, all other user get the information that the document is currently processed by user '....'. To display the correct username you have to change the value in the document info record before.
