I have searched in System->status->Component information
Software component : PI_BASIS

whether my PI version is 6.4?
what is level 0007?
What is Support package?
Kernal release : 640
Kernal release tells what the PI version is or Software release ?

what is patch level?
Could any one please describe me regarding on this.
Thanks
Sai.
What is Support package?
A Support Package contains a collection of error corrections. You can only import complete Support Packages and in a specified sequence. Each correction in a Support Package is documented in an SAP Note.
Kernal release tells what the PI version is or Software release ?
The kernel is the central program that is essential to the SAP system applications.
what is patch level?
As i understand, Patch is a fix to bug in a product.

Hi,
6.4 is not the PI version.
Check the note #1381878 How/where to check the patch levels of your XI/PI system
Also log on to ESR or ID and go to Help -> About to see PI version
Please check this for PI version :
Hi Sai,
You wish to check what patch levels are being used in your XI/PI system.
In an XI/PI system, all components must be on the same major SP release version. This means that the Basis(ABAP), Java and XI components must all be on the same SP e.g. SP12
Solution
1) To check the BASIS patch version, logon to the XI system and go to:
-> System
-> Status
-> SAP System data
-> click on magnifying glass icon
-> check the SAP_BASIS software component release and level
2) To check the Java and XI component's SP details at the links below:
a) For XI 3.0/PI 7.0, go to the URL:
http://<server>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo
b) For PI 7.1x, go to the URL:
http://<server>:<port>/ -> System Information -> Component Info
Here (point 2 above) you can know the version of PI you are working depending on where you find the details.
3) How to read the component information:
a) Example from a PI 7.00 system:
SAP-XIAFC 7.00 SP13 (1000.7.00.13.22.20090722122317)
1000 - not relevant
7.00 - this is the NetWeaver release of the PI system
13 - this is the SP version of the system
22 - this is the patch level of the SAP_XIAFC component
In this case the XIAFC component is on SP13 patch 22
b) Example from a PI 7.10 system:
SAP_XIESR 1000.7.10.7.14.20090525090100
1000 - not relevant
7.10 - this is the NetWeaver release of the PI system
7 - this is the SP version of the system
14 - this is the patch level of the SAP_XIESR component

Anupam
Hi Sai,
Open your XI Startup page using the transaction SXMB_IFR.
Click on the Administration, On the left avigation pane, you will find Software Build Information.
Now, you would get info. on the right side. Check for make.rel, if
NW04 then the version is XI 3.0
NW04S then the version is PI 7.0
higher then the version is PI 7.1
Thanks,
Hello,
we are looking how to find out installed PI version too.
Note 1381878 explains how to find out SAP_BASIS Release and SAP NETWEAVER version.
For PI version I want to know if this is the correct way to find out:
transaction SXMB_IFR -> go to administration -> choose tabe repository and click link "General information". There you will find "Integrated Modeling Environment Release". In this system this is 7.1.0.509455 SR 2009_03.
Is this the right way? Is this PI 7.1? What would be the value here if SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER PI 7.1 would be installed?
And where can we find out which NETWEAVER Releases are supported for PI 7.1? PAM does not tell this.
Regards,
Julia
