can i define PV in SPRO(Customizing) instead of MM-MRP4 view
Hi Soumyakant.
Why do you want to use SPRO to create production version instead of MRP4?
You can create production version using transaction C223 instead of MM-MRP4.

Dear friend.
I would say /C223 is the most used transaction for maintaining Production Versions.
There you can add an entry for your material, add BOM number, group counter, etc.
Don't forget to perform a "Check" in the lower section so you have a green light appearing on the PV entry.
Hope this helps you!

Thanks for your reply
I know about mrp4 and c223, " what i had doubt is, wheather in customizing I can maintain any PV or not "
I guess, these are the only 2 procedure in which i can create it.

Dear Soumyakant,
You don't have to configure anything for production version separately.
Basically production version is a master data where in one maintains relation of BOM & Routing for that material. This is applicable for a particular range of lot size. Also production version can be checked for correctness of data maintained.
Either you can create it through MM02 (MRP4 view) for a single material or you can create it for mass in transaction C223.
Hope this clears your doubt.
