PCo to SAP MII 12.1 destination error

Former Member

Hello

I am getting an error while adding Destination for Notification.

On the Destination Tab, I am able to create MII System as Destination. And expanding the newly created Destination, i can see a child node 'Destination'. While clicking on this child node, i am getting an error as "there are multiple root elements Line 6, position 2"

What is problem?

Hi Dmitry,

Did you use the MII Server's IP Address in the definition of the Destination system? If so, try switching to the server's machine and domain name and see if that makes a difference.

Kind Regards,

Hello, Diana

Yes, I use the MII Server's IP Address in the definition of the Destination system. PCo's computer and server of SAP MII in the same domain.

Dmitry,

Did you try switching from IP Address to the MII Server's machine name? What was the result?

If I try to switch from IP Address to the MII Server's machine name, I have an error in test connection.

If i use IP address I have test connection is OK, but in configuring notification I have an error "there are multiple root elements Line 6, position 2".

The SAP MII Server is on Windows Server 2003.

Dmitry,

Are you able to get XML document of the folder structure? Try this. Logon to the MII system and then enter in the browser the following url, with your MII Server/Port substitued:

http://ServerName:Port/XMII/Catalog?Mode=ListFolderHierarchy

What result do you get?

Kind Regards,

Maybe is it bug of PCo, when in SAP MII exist a lot of project with many sub folders?

Dmitry,

We also faced the similar issue on our current implementation.

Before we mentioned IP address of MII server to configure destination. Later we used Server Name and the problem got solved. Also please try adding the IP address and host name in host file.

Hope this helps

The problem was in host file.
