I tried to install a Sap ECC6 EHP4 in Windows 2008 R2 with MSSQL 2008 R2 in a no-unicode system because that instance will be use to attach a db from a MSSQL 2005 no-unicode.
I start the sapinst and when I see the question about SID, the Unicode flag is checked but disable, so I cannot uncheck this choice.
What can I do?

Non unicode installation is no more possible in SAP new products.

if you read the Installation GuideSAP ERP 6.0 - EHP4 Ready ABAP on Windows: MS SQL Server page 34, Every new installation of an SAP system is Unicode.
