Install ECC6 EHP4 in Windows 2008 MSSQL 2008 not unicode

Former Member

I tried to install a Sap ECC6 EHP4 in Windows 2008 R2 with MSSQL 2008 R2 in a no-unicode system because that instance will be use to attach a db from a MSSQL 2005 no-unicode.

I start the sapinst and when I see the question about SID, the Unicode flag is checked but disable, so I cannot uncheck this choice.

What can I do?

Hi,

Non unicode installation is no more possible in SAP new products.

Please do check this link:

Thanks,
