However, I cannot Connect to SAP.

The following error occured:

partner '127.0.0.1:sadp00' not reached

Can anybody please help me with this?

Hi ZiyaadBAW,

Please open the SAP MMC and check server node status is running(green) or not.

If not then you need to first start the server then you can connect to the SAP System. Once status is green then open the URL http://<host>:<port>/index.html after updating the host name and ip address in host file (Start > run > drivers > etc > host)

It's working! Thanks guys.

The fact that it was installed on my PC, i.e. localhost, then even though the PC is on a server, you still have to install Ms Loop Back Adapter, and reboot the system.

It worked.

Hi,

Is you PC in a network or standalone?

If standalone then you might need a loop back adapter installation as well.

If Win7: http://www.windowsreference.com/windows-7/how-to-install-a-loopback-adapter-in-windows-7/

If WInXP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839013

Hi,

My laptop is connected to a server. However, I still installed a loopback adapter, but no success.

Hi,

If connected to the server, check if the PC has an IP assigned using the command ipconfig.

Also use the 'ping localhost' command to see if the IP 127.0.0.1 is being returned.

Next check if the sapdp service is listening on the port using 'netstat -a' command.
