Program download to CNC machine and OPC data acquisition via single port

Hello Forum, Please put your recommendation about program download to CNC machine and data acquisition.

SAP MII need some CNC data for reporting and OPC would be a connecting layer. There are couple of CNC machines at floor and each machine is connected to a program downloader app through a RS 232 port.

Ttwo software applications need to interact with the CNC machine, one does program downlaod (Gcodes) to CNC machines and other does data collection( OPC DA interface). But the CNC has only one RS232 port so how to connect two different softwares to single port. ( OPC device driver and Program Downloader app)

Has anybody experienced the same situation and got the way to go.

I got a new requirement integrating CNC machines to SAP MII .

Could you please tell me how you achieve this integration

What are the interfaces needed?

I am looking for this
