Hi Experts,
Is there any SAP documentation available on the impact of the horizon in which we initialize an SNP planning area?
Basically, we are exploring initializing PA from '1 year in the past to 2 years in future', instead of 'last month to 2 years in future.' What would be the impact on the system's performance due to this?

Hi,
basically the pure initialization as a rather low impact on the performance. But it has an impact on the sizing (database + Livecache). You can check the memory requirements in the Quicksizer (service.sap.com/Quicksizer).
More important in terms of performance is how much data is read at once. As a threshold for interactive planning you can
as a rule of thumb say the system is able to handle around 100.000 cells. This means:
Number of buckets (weeks/months/days) * Number of keyfigures * Number fo details (after a drill down).
