Dear Friends,

I am installing the oracle 1g patch.

I have downloaded the patches Patchset_10204_HPUX-IA64aa.bin ab, ac and ad patches.

I have copy these patch files in /tmp/oraclepatche directory and executed the command from ORA<SID> user as below

>opatch apply /tmp/oraclepatch

then it is giving the arror as below

Patch history file: /oracle/DVR/102_64/cfgtoollogs/opatch/opatch_history.txt

OPatch cannot find a valid oraInst.loc file to locate Central Inventory.

OPatch failed with error code 104

Those patches are a patchset. You have to concatenate the files to a zip file, unpack it and run runInstaller according to the Readme.htm that's in the file.

Note 839187 - Oracle 10.2.0: Applying patch set/patches/patch collection
