Hi,

Device type SAPWIN should still work. You need to make sure that the fonts used in the form are Russian fonts like COURCYR, HELVCYR or TIMECYR.

Unicode device type SWINCF should also work for Russian characters in a Unicode system. In this case the font in the form is not important.

Aidan

but, i have another doubt.

how are they able to print in SAPWIN device tpye in 4.6C and not able to do that in ECC 6.0 ?

what is missing ?

Hi,

The reason it worked previously is probably due to the automatic font replaceement described in SAP note:

952050 - LATIN fonts in CJK SmartStyles

If this was activated, font HELVE would be replaced by HELVCYR for language Russian.

Hello

thanks a lot for the help.

SAPWINCF also helped me to fix the issue.

Hi,

SAPWIN5 is for printing Cyrillic characters on non-Unicode and Unicde systems. SWINCF is a Unicode device type which uses cascading fonts . See SAP note #812821.

Hello ,

thanks.

it worked when i changed the device type to SAPWIN5.

is it necessary to change the device type to SAPWIN5 for Russia ?

any SAP note regarding this ?

Chaitanya

Hi,

It should not be necessary to change to SAPWIN5. Device type SAPWIN5 only supports cyrillic fonts like COURCYR, HELVCYR or TIMECYR. Therefore, even if the erong font is used in the form, the device type converts it to a Russian font. If yuo use a correct font for Russian characters in the form, then SAPWIN should also work.

SWINCF should also work with the current form setting.

Hi,

With all applications, there is a form used by the application and the language and fonts of thhs form are important.

Try using device type SWINCF and check the result.
