Planned Orders not respecting CDP Char - Block Planning/Planning Board

Hello Experts,

We use 2 characteristics for our CDP process & Planned Orders are created using a CTP process. When a Sales Order is created, system creates a planned order & the requirement char's on the planned order peg to the Block's CDP char's, after which the Planned order is assigned to the correct block on the Planning Board.

Out of nowhere, what we are seeing is that the Planned Orders are not respecting the Block basis characteristics. They are getting pegged to Blocks where they don't belong to. i.e. - with diff Char combination.

I've made basic checks like the required char's existing on the Planned Order for pegging, Block Basis defn & the Requirement characteristics OK. Can't find a thing wrong.

Your expert ideas on this one?

Thanks

Please,

check if the characteristic related to the block planning is also used in the sales order.

Please also check the settings in the Strategy Profile which is use when you planned orders are created or rescheduled.

Setting:

Take Block Planning Into Account

You also need to check your PDS.

The PDS activity shall have the Block Planning indicator and class.
