Sales Deals

Hi. We are looking into using sales deals to handle buying group pricing and have a question. It is my understanding that you create a sales deal and the link customers to that deal. You can also link materials that belong to the deal as well. When doing this, do we have to maintain data for each customer/material relationship, or is that handled by being "linked" to the deal, meaning if we have a deal that includes ten customers and 100 materials, to we have to maintain all combinations or customer/material, and if we add a new material to the deal, do we have to maintain 10 more records (one for each customer?)

It all depends on the key fields of the condition tables you have assigned to the sales deal type. Also, if you'd like to reduce the workload you can implement customer hierarchy and give the discount to the upper nodes.
